FOUNDING sTORY
My story, and the story of Cause Talent Partners, begins with a moment that permanently changed how I understand work, people, and responsibility.

On September 11, 2001, I was working on the 89th floor of the World Trade Center. Within minutes of sitting down at my desk at Strategic Communications Group, a thunderous explosion tore through the building and our office filled with smoke and debris. Filing cabinets crashed to the floor. Exits were blocked. The nearest stairwell was blown shut.

We were still on the 89th floor of the North Tower when the second plane hit.

Nearly ninety minutes later, after navigating smaller fires, dead ends, and darkened stairwells, after losing my shoes, and after descending 178 flights of stairs, my colleagues and I finally reached the lobby. None of us thought we would make it out alive.

When at last we stepped onto the street, the South Tower was beginning to collapse. In that moment, everything I thought I knew about safety, work, and the future disappeared.

You do not come back from something like that unchanged.

Surviving that experience taught me that behind every job title is a human being, and that when systems fail, people pay the price. It gave me an unshakable commitment to live and work in service. How I have shown up for others when things are hard, uncertain, or falling apart, has honored that commitment and guided every chapter of my career since.

That path has taken me from volunteering in an orphanage in India to working in shelters and nonprofits here at home, to building recruitment and HR systems for mission-driven organizations of all sizes. At Good Neighbor Center, I supported shelter residents, led the Resident Support team, and managed donor communications. At Adelante Mujeres, I recruited volunteers, built community events, and witnessed the generational impact of inclusive leadership for Latina women and families. At Community Action Organization, I worked on the front lines of homelessness response through the Built for Zero initiative, where multi-agency collaboration and data-driven strategy showed me what people-centered change can accomplish. Every role confirmed the same truth: when people are placed in the right role and supported with care, entire communities can thrive.

Today, I lead Cause Talent Partners, helping nonprofits and mission-driven companies hire and support exceptional talent. Whether through full-cycle recruitment, executive search, or HR consulting, my work is grounded in clarity, compassion, and purpose. This work is personal to me. I know how powerful it is when leadership, process, and humanity align. That is what Cause Talent Partners exists to provide.

Why Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus reflects the heart of this work. It is both strong and gentle, resilient and restorative. It represents healing, renewal, and the quiet strength required to weather transition and keep growing. To me, it represents everything this work is about, bringing fresh energy to teams, supporting leaders through transition, and nurturing the long-term health of organizations.
